Viresco products work by removing nitrates from pond water and this is food for all algae. Phosphate nutrient levels are also reduced. This means algae and blanketweed simply die from starvation

MICROBOOST

Microboost is coarse grade granular Humate which also contains some Viresco Aqua. Microboost is only partially soluble and breaks down slowly over time by the action of micro-organisms. Where there are no bottom drains or the use of vacuums, Micro boost should be thrown into the bottom of the pond. Alternatively, it should be placed into the filter, contained in an appropriate mesh bag. The 100g pack will treat about 4000 gallons (18200 litres) of pond water.

Humate is a good food source for microbes and bacteria and the granular material gives a wonderful boost to microbe counts. It is  advisable to add some of granular humate into the pond water. Microboost is coarse grade granular humate which also contains some Viresco AQUA. Microboost partially dissolves in water and slowly decomposes over time through microbial action. If you don't have a pondvac or no bottom drain  Microboost should be thrown into the bottom of the pond. Or else it can be placed into the biofilter, contained in an appropriate mesh bag (to make it easy to handle). The 100g pack will treat about 4000 gallons (18,200 litres) of pond water.

VIRESCO FILTER-START

Viresco sell a microbial product for introducing bacteria into pond filters (pond starters) to speed up the nitrification cycle process or conversion of ammonia to nitrite and nitrite to nitrate. A pack of 25g of Viresco Filter-Start which will treat pond biofilters for ponds of around 2000 gallons or 9000 litres.
